Larry Cohen presents his brightest, most ambitious views ever of San Francisco and Los Angeles and the stunning surrounding areas in his first major exhibition at SCAPE.
Cohen's urban views feature rich color, and the range of brilliant to foggy light that characterizes the atmosphere of these two areas is more keenly observed in the choice of subject than in previous works. Likewise, Cohen's obvious interest in pure color and form, as mediated by his compressed and energetic brushstrokes, keeps his works focused on the process and not the result.
