Scott McMillin has always been interested in raw materials and the process of transforming them through his art. His most recent interest has been to "reclaim" discarded automobile parts and create low relief artworks. Cutting recycled auto body parts into squares and rectangles and rearranging them into geometric patterns and free form abstractions yields artworks that have a sublime quality, transcending their original use while retaining their storied past.
